    Good structure, function and longevity starts young. So do problems. Let us come out to assess correct any problems in your young trees, before they become big hazards! We are educated and practiced with pruning for health, strength & structure, and correction. Don't wait until it's too late.

    Pruning is for young trees and shrubs, 20 feet and shorter. For older trees, such as crabapples, please reach out to discuss your project.

    Limbs and branches will be cut into firewood and stacked on site.

    Available only within 30 minutes of Grimes, Iowa.

    Materials

    Seed:

    "Clean" means seed only with minimal debris. "Uncleaned" means with fruit, wings, etc. still attached.

    Please keep materials cool but not frozen until planting. Do not allow plants to desiccate, leave them in hot cars or neglect them immediately after planting. Materials are alive. ISA, DNR and other resources are plentiful to describe best planting and sowing.

    Shipping & Returns

    This store will only ship seed orders. Shipping plants to you will cost more than the plants. Plant materials can be picked up by appointment.

    Refunds are not available. Materials are alive. If you experience difficulties, please reach out so we can try to help.

    Seed packs ship priority, within Iowa, through USPS. Perishable seed ships ground and should arrive within two days of shipment. You may also pick up any seed with a plant order. Please ensure you select the appropriate city if you want your seed order combined with your plant order for pick up.

    Plant material and seed are alive and we do not accept returns. Please contact us if you are dissatisfied with the performance of your seeds.

    Care Instructions

    Keep seeds in a cool, dry place until planting. Freeze with great caution or not at all.

    Keep plants cool and adequately watered until planting. Avoid leaving them inside a hot vehicle or bag. Keep plants watered until rooted in. Ensure good planting and care practices.

    Seed comes from open-pollinated, usually wild, sources. Some seed is collected from orchards we established from such sources. While we prefer the genetic diversity of truly-wild sources, we occasionally collect from plants growing robustly in the face of climate change and harsh urban environments.
